One person has been killed and two injured in a shooting in the parking lot outside of Reign Nightclub, and police said they've identified the suspect.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed the incident happened in the parking just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday about 100 yards from the club in the 2600 block of Murfreesboro Pike.

According to reports, four men were sitting in a Tahoe in the parking lot after being inside the club.

That’s when the gunman, identified as Cedarius Jermaine Williams, allegedly approached them and fired multiple shots.

An officer at the scene said they found 11 shell casings. Multiple bullet holes could be seen in the SUV the men were in.

All three victims were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Officials confirmed one of the victims, 28-year-old Billy Ray Long, Jr., had passed away. Authorities said he was behind the wheel of the Tahoe when he was shot.

Police said two others were injured. LeAnthony Cathey, age 37 of Humboldt, suffered a wound to his abdomen and remained hospitalized.

Malcolm Fuller, age 30 of Jackson, was shot in the arm. He was treated and released from the hospital.

The fourth person was not injured.

Several witnesses were interviewed as officials searched for answers in the case. They learned the victims knew Williams and had allegedly had drinks with him inside the club.

The general manager of the club, Heather Phillips, said there were no altercations or arguments inside of the club on Friday night, and the club has been increasing security following the shooting.

"We're all here just trying to make sure everybody's safe and that we have a good night and everybody goes home safe," Phillips said. "The sad part is, that man is never going to go home to his family."

The nightclub has had increased security for months following other shootings near or inside of the nightclub. On any given night, there are about 15 security guards working at the nightclub to ensure people's safety.

The motive for the shooting was unclear. No altercation was reported inside the club before the shooting outside.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Williams charging him with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
