One person was killed and two children were left in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash in Wilson County.
Officials said the wreck happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 70, also known as Lebanon Road, near Southfork Drive.
The female driver of the car, identified as 35-year-old Lori Hollandsworth, along with a 9-year-old female and a 4-year-old female were all seriously injured. Police said all three were taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Hollandsworth passed away at the hospital during an emergency operation. Both of the children were listed in critical condition.
Authorities said speed was identified as a factor in the crash. The investigation was ongoing.
