The woman killed in a Labor Day crash that left several others injured has been identified.
The wreck happened around 9:15 a.m. Monday in the 2600 block of Main Street, not far from the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said a vehicle being driven by 70-year-old Steve Johnson crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle.
The other driver, identified as 37-year-old Lorrie Straughn, was fatally injured in the crash.
A total of five people, including Johnson, were taken to an area hospital. Among the injured were two children, one of whom is an infant.
THP officials said citations and criminal charges are pending. The investigation remained ongoing.
