One person has died and three others were seriously injured in a crash in Maury County.

Officials with the fire department said they responded to a head-on crash on Campbellsville Pike just before 5 p.m. Saturday.

Reports stated two vehicles were involved in the wreck, which included four victims.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 1998 Nissan PFI, driven by William D. Hunt, was traveling north and attempted to make a curve.

That's when Hunt crossed the center line and hit a 2006 Toyota Corolla, driven by Allen J. Rebisz, head-on.

Rebisz, who was born in 1987, was killed in the crash.

Authorities said Rebisz's two passengers, Sara Acevedo and Eric J. Gay, were both injured in the wreck. Hunt was also injured.

The extent of their injuries had not been released. All three were taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

Citations were issued, and authorities said criminal charges were pending.

Further details were not available as the investigation remained ongoing. One lane was closed as crews worked at the scene.

Authorities said this was the second fatality on Campbellsville Pike this week.
