One person was killed when a motorcycle lost control and crashed.
Authorities said the wreck happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday on Veterans Parkway near New Salem Highway.
According to reports, 38-year-old Heath M. Emslie, of Shelbyville, lost control after driving his motorcycle around a curve. He then ran off the roadway and crashed.
Officials confirmed Emslie was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital before he was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he passed away.
No further details were released.
