A man was killed after an acquaintance stabbed him at a hotel in North Nashville.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday at the Quality Inn on Brick Church Pike. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Michael D. Cook, was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he later died.
Reports stated Cook and 33-year-old Fesnando Santos got into a heated argument that turned physical. That's when Santos allegedly stabbed Cook.
Authorities said they found Santos a short time after the stabbing at a Love's Travel Stop in the 100 block of West Trinity Lane.
Santos claimed self-defense during an interview with detectives.
Officials said the District Attorney's Office would determine if charges will be filed.
