1 Shot, Injured During Drug Deal

One person was injured in a shooting that allegedly began as an argument over a drug deal.

Authorities with the Murfreesboro Police Department said the incident happened around 3:07 p.m. Wednesday at the Greystone Apartments in the 300 block of West Lokey Street.

An argument broke out behind building “A” over a marijuana deal. That’s when the suspect opened fire.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was shot in the leg and taken by ambulance to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Authorities said a possible suspect had been identified, and investigators were following up on all leads.
