A man was killed in a shooting on Antioch Pike when shots were fired from a passing pickup truck into a Maxima.
The shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday at McCall Street.
Reports stated 24-year-old Jesus Alberto Flores was the passenger in the 2006 Nissan Maxima.
The driver of the Maxima was identified as 23-year-old Luis Alberto Rosero-Loyo. He told police that he was traveling with Flores when the shots were fired from a white pickup truck.
Flores was shot in the chest. Rosero-Loyo said as he tried to drive away, his car stalled.
Rosero-Loyo fled on foot, but came back to the scene a short time later.
Flores was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
According to reports, Flores and Rosero-Loyo were returning to a party at the time of the shooting.
The suspect's description was limited. Authorities said he was believed to be Hispanic and was wearing a blue ball cap with the letters "LA."
Antioch Pike was closed in that area as crews worked at the scene. The investigation remained ongoing. Anyone with information has been urged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
