A woman has been arrested after authorities found 13 pounds of crystal methamphetamine in a vehicle on Briley Parkway.
Reports stated 36-year-old Amber Gooden was stopped by an officer on Briley Parkway just after 1 p.m. Friday for having an inoperative brake light.
The official said Gooden was not receptive to his questions, which prompted him to check her Cadillac CTS using his canine partner, Caine.
The dog detected the presence of a drug odor, and a search turned up six bags of meth weighing 2.2 pounds each. The bags were found inside a gym bag on the rear floorboard.
A search warrant was then executed at Gooden’s home in Murfreesboro where authorities seized six pounds of marijuana and a pistol that had been reported stolen.
Gooden was charged with possessing methamphetamine for resale. She was being held in Metro Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
