Thousands turned out for one of East Nashville's most cherished traditions.
The 13th Annual Tomato Art Festival kept the party going all afternoon on Saturday.
There was a 5K run, beautiful tomato contest, and even a dog fashion show.

In 2015, around 50,000 people participated in the festival.
The founder said it all started by accident, and they never believed it would grow to this size.
"We did initially just a tomato arts show,” said Megan MacFadyn. “It was going to be a one-time thing, and it was such a big hit, the art show. Like, a thousand people came to it. I never have figured out why, and many of them had costumes on, so it kind of grew on its own into this big festival that it is today."
