The Nashville chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists held its first ever "Headliners and Heroes" Scholarship Reception.
The event Sunday at the First Amendment Center at Vanderbilt University raised money to fund scholarships for communications students at Nashville area colleges and universities.
Several people who have worked in the media were recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions.
