Two people have been charged and at least two others were on the run after an attempted burglary at a Hendersonville business and a police pursuit.
The incident happened early Sunday morning when a police officer spotted a suspicious vehicle near Gun’s and Leather Pro Shop in Hendersonville.
According to the officer, the vehicle then left that area, and the officer conducted a stop for a traffic violation.
That’s when the vehicle fled and a pursuit began.
Reports stated the pursuit ended off Brick Church Pike in Nashville. The suspects in the vehicle then attempted to flee on foot.
Two of the suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Keionta Burleson and 19-year-old Jaron Ford.
Burleson was quickly captured by officers, but Ford was not apprehended until a few hours later in a home that was under construction.
Officials confirmed at least two other suspects remained at large. They’re being considered dangerous.
Authorities said a second vehicle involved was possibly a white Nissan Rogue or similar style vehicle.
The car Burleson and Ford were in was determined to be stolen from a car dealership in Murfreesboro. Authorities also confirmed the suspects had attempted to burglarize the Gun’s and Leather Pro Shop in Hendersonville prior to the pursuit.
Both Ford and Burleson have been charged with theft of motor vehicle, resisting stop halt frisk, attempted burglary, evading arrest, and reckless endangerment.
Ford was being held on a $15,000 bond, and Burleson was being held on a $20,000 bond. Reports stated they’ve been expected to appear in court on November 9.
Anyone with information on this crime or the suspects at-large has been asked to call the Hendersonville Police Department or Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
