Two people have been taken into custody after shots were fired near a nightclub in north Nashville.
Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department reported hearing the shots around 11 p.m. Wednesday near the 1400 block of Brick Church Pike.
They noticed people shooting pistols as they were leaving the Kilimanjaro Club behind a Days Inn.

Two people attempted to run from the scene, but were detained by police.
A white Chevrolet Impala and Black Chevrolet Tahoe were able to get away from the area without being stopped. According to police, multiple people were in those two vehicles.
Officers also found a hand gun behind a row of bushes, while shell casings were recovered from the parking lot of the Days Inn.
No one was hurt in the incident. Officials said there was no damage to the property.
The identities of the alleged shooters have not been confirmed.
