A man was killed in a crash involving two vehicles in Clarksville.
The incident happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday on Kraft Street near Emerald Drive.
Officials with Clarksville Police said a car being driven by 31-year-old Andre White was struck after trying to pass another vehicle illegally.
Another driver was traveling westbound on Kraft Street and slowed down to make a left turn. Police said White, who was approaching the turning vehicle, suddenly tried to pass on a double yellow line.
His vehicle was hit nearly head on by another car being driven by 67-year-old Dana McGraw.
White was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
At this point, police said it’s unclear if White was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No charges would be filed in the crash.
