Two people traveling on a motorcycle were injured in a crash involving a car in Clarksville.

The wreck happened just before 8 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

Reports stated a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima south in the center left turn only lane. Authorities said she stopped before trying to merge into the left, southbound lane of traffic.

Officials said she did not see the motorcycle, a 2009 Kawasaki driven by a 42-year-old man. The two collided.

The man and his 36-year-old female passenger were injured. They were taken by LifeFlight to a hospital in Nashville where the man was listed in critical condition and the woman was listed as critical but stable.

Officials said the 20-year-old driver of the car was not injured in the crash.

No identities were released as the investigation remained ongoing.
