Two men have been injured after getting into an argument at a local motel.
Authorities said it happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at a motel in South Nashville.
According to reports, the two men got into an argument and one of them stabbed the other in the chest.
That man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
The second man had a non-life threatening cut on his arm. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives said they were interviewing witnesses. The fight happened in one of the rooms and involved four people total who all knew each other.
Authorities said a window was broken during the fight. They were not sure if drugs or alcohol were involved.
