Two people were injured in a head-on crash involving a wrong-way driver in Williamson County.
The wreck happened after 5 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 840 East at mile marker 21, a couple of miles before Carters Creek Pike.
Authorities said 26-year-old Kathleen Coffeen, of Columbia, was driving west in the eastbound lanes.
She collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver was identified as 28-year-old Christopher Pewitt, of Lyles.
Pewitt was injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His condition was unknown.
Coffeen was also injured. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and officials said charges against her were pending.
Further details on the crash were not released as the investigation remained ongoing.
