Detectives said they're working to identify two men allegedly involved in at least four convenience store robberies.
Two of the robberies took place Tuesday night. The first happened around 10:10 p.m. at Mapco in the 2100 block of Murfreesboro Pike.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed the second robbery took place just a short time later at the Circle K in the 2200 block of Nolensville Pike.
According to detectives, they said the same two men were believed to be responsible for two other Mapco robberies: one in the 800 block of Jefferson Street Monday night and another in the 5400 block of Old Hickory Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
In these cases, both suspects have typically entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk. One man has been armed with a gun, and the two usually also take Newport cigarettes.
They have been described as black men in their 20's. One stood around 6’2’’ tall and was described as muscular. He was seen wearing a gray jacket with a fur-lined hood. Police said he has a diamond tattoo on the right side of his face.
The second suspect stood approximately six feet tall and was wearing a black coat, black floppy billed hat, and mustard-colored short pants.
Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
