A violent home invasion overnight was likely drug related, police have confirmed.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. Monday at a residence near Painter Drive and School House Court.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the victim claims two men armed with a shotgun assaulted him inside the home.
Both suspects were reportedly wearing skull masks.
Police said one of the men used brass knuckles to assault the victim. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
According to investigators, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the home. The suspects got away with drugs and a shotgun.
The victims claimed the incident happened on School House Court, but reportedly drove to Strasser Drive to make the report.
