An investigation got underway overnight after two suspects robbed a motel clerk at gunpoint in Nashville.
The incident was reported around 3 a.m. Monday at Nashville Airport Inn and Suites - located just off Briley Parkway, not far from the Nashville International Airport.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a clerk was robbed at gunpoint by two men.
The suspects got away with a small, undisclosed amount of cash. They fled in an unknown direction.
Police said the employee was too shaken up to give them a detailed account of what happened.

Both suspects reportedly had their faces covered.
Police said they were described as being two African American men, one of whom is 35-40-years-old and was wearing a black and gray polo shirt with blue jeans. He was armed with a handgun and is bald with a mustache.
The other was wearing a gray sweatshirt and is heavyset.
