2 Women Injured In Shooting Outside Walgreens

Two women were injured when shots were fired outside a south Nashville Walgreens.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday at the store near Murfreesboro Pike and Thompson Place.

Officers responded to a shots fired call but didn’t find any victims at the scene. Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in separate vehicles.

According to police, the two women were both with other people at the time. At one point, the two groups began shooting at each other.

One was struck in the buttocks, while the other suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the stomach.

The motive for the shooting remained unknown.

Police said they’re not actively looking for any suspects in the case. So far, no one has been charged.
