Police in Hopkinsville said they’ve arrested a man in the shooting death of a 24-year-old.
The incident began just before 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Marathon service station at East 9th Street and Campbell Street.
According to reports, 24-year-old Tarone Kiaire Williams was shot in the parking lot.
Police said Williams then drove westbound and hit another vehicle just one block away on East 9th Street.
When crews arrived at the scene, Williams was unresponsive and pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed they arrested 22-year-old Dorien E. Meullion at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at a home on Polly Drive in Clarksville.
Meullion was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail. He was awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
Officials with the Hopkinsville Police Department said they want to thank those with the Clarksville Police Department for their help with the arrest.
