Two suspects have been arrested and one was still being sought after a man was injured in a shooting at a Clarksville business.
The incident happened on January 15 at the Bojangles' in the 1800 block of Tiny Town Road.
Officials said Timothy Grant and 26-year-old Dustin McCracken had agreed to meet 30-year-old Theresa Cobb at Bojangles'. She was asking to purchase a large amount of Opana pills.
Authorities confirmed McCracken did not have any pills and conspired with Grant to rob her.
Once Cobb got into their vehicle and showed them the money, a fight ensued when McCracken tried to grab the money from her. No weapons were involved at that time.
Police said that’s when 28-year-old Kyle Heade approached the driver's side of the vehicle and began firing numerous rounds from a 9mm handgun.
Grant was hit five times and was taken to Gateway Hospital by McCracken. Officials said McCracken then left the car on Ferris Street.
Authorities said Grant had been released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center and confirmed he was doing well.
“After the incident, I executed a search warrant at the residence where Cobb lives and where Heade was staying,” Detective Dennis Honholt said. “A disassembled S&W 9mm handgun was found in the trash.”
Detectives said they’re actively searching for McCracken. He's wanted for robbery and tampering with evidence.
The confirmed Heade had been taken into custody. He was being sought for attempted homicide.
Police said Cobb was wanted for accessory to attempted homicide. She was arrested in Oak Grove, Kentucky and was booked into the Christian County Jail.
Anyone with information on McCracken's whereabouts has been urged to contact Detective Honholt at 931-648-0656, ext. 5260 or the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 931-645-TIPS (931-645-8477).
