A 30-year veteran of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has passed away.

Investigator Larry Hodge has died at the age of 55.

Hodge was the son of an Air Force veteran. He grew up all over the world.

Hodge graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1978. From there, he settled in Clarksville with his family.

He joined the sheriff’s office in 1986, starting his career in the Patrol Division. Hodge was promoted to investigator in 1996.

Visitation has been planned for Thursday, and his funeral services have been set for Friday in Clarksville.

He’s survived by his wife and two sons.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
