Burglars got away with more than three dozen firearms in La Vergne.

According to the ATF, the burglary happened between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday at Specialty Arms on Old Nashville Highway.

At least four burglars broke into the store and got away with around 39 weapons.

Officials with the ATF said they believe this was pre-planned, but they have not released any additional information on the burglars. They stated the burglary was a smash and grab. Investigators have been working to determine if there was more than one point of entry.

Two vehicles, one black and one gray, were the getaway cars, and both were believed to be stolen.

Reports stated the store has been the target of burglars in the past.

The ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation have offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information on the crime.

Anyone with information on this crime has been urged to contact the ATF at 1-800-283-4867 or the La Vergne Police Department at 615-793-7744.
