Four people have been killed in a crash in Rutherford County.
The wreck happened Saturday morning near mile marker 67 in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24.
Officials said a vehicle had been traveling west when it crossed the median and hit a sign post.
According to a preliminary investigation, the vehicle then continued on and hit a concrete barrier, landing in the emergency lane on its roof.
Authorities confirmed four people were killed. Their identities had not been released.
The roadway was closed as crews worked at the scene for multiple hours.
