A 4-year-old was hurt in what police have called a distracted driving related crash in south Nashville.
The wreck happened around midnight Monday on Ezell Road at Melmack Drive.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the driver crashed into a wall. Her grandchild was in the vehicle with her and according to police, was not in a car seat.
The child was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver was issued a citation. Her name was not available.
