A 66-year-old man was attacked in his home, and detectives said they now believe a red Dodge Charger was involved.

The incident happened at the victim’s home on 2nd Avenue South Friday morning.

According to the victim, he walked out of his home and was immediately confronted by two gunmen. They forced him back inside, handcuffed and assaulted him, and stole money and a small amount of marijuana.

Authorities said the victim was left handcuffed on his back. More than two hours later, he was able to get back on his feet and make it outside where passersby saw him and stopped to help. They called police around 12:55 p.m. Friday.

Surveillance video at a nearby home captured images of the car and a second older model suspect vehicle next to the Charger.

Police said the victim suffered a broken nose and other bruising.

The suspects were described as men in their 30s with shoulder-length dreads.

Anyone with information, or anyone who may recognize the Charger, has been urged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
