Fire officials in Bowling Green said a fire destroyed an apartment building and left seven families homeless.
The Bowling Green Daily News reported two police officers sought treatment for smoke inhalation during Saturday's fire at the Lovers Lane Apartments. Fire department spokeswoman Marlee Boenig said the officers were helping residents get out of the building.
No residents were injured. Boenig said more than 30 people lived in the building.
The American Red Cross was assisting the families in finding temporary places to stay.
