One day before the anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks, Tennessee firefighters honored the memories of first responders who died on that day.
The 8th annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was held at the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower on Sunday.
Firefighters climbed 110 stories in honor of the 343 New York firefighters who gave their lives on September 11, 2001.
Each participant received a photo of one of the fallen heroes.
The proceeds from Sunday's climb were set to benefit the FDNY Counseling Unit, which has offered peer counseling and resources to the family and colleagues of fallen firefighters.
