A 9-year-old has been injured in a crash after police in Clarksville said he took a car for a ride.
The incident happened just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Eva Drive.
Reports stated the 9-year-old took a vehicle owned by one of his mother’s friends and crashed.
He was taken by LifeFlight to a hospital in Nashville. He was listed in stable condition with a few cuts, broken bones, and other injuries. Officials said he's expected to recover.
On Sunday evening, authorities confirmed the child was autistic and has ran off before, but they added this type of incident had never occurred.
