Adoption Fees Waived, Metro Shelter At Capacity

Metro Animal Care and Control has been overflowing with furry friends in need of forever homes, so they’ve decided to waive adoption fees.

Those at the shelter said as the temperatures rise, so do the numbers of animals they have coming into their shelter.

That could mean anywhere from 30 to 40 animals coming into the shelter in just one day.

Metro Animal Care and Control currently has more than 200 pets up for adoption, and they're at capacity. That animal population at the shelter brought about the Clear the Shelter event.

It's not just dogs. Several cats need homes, too.

All adoption fees have been waived through May 21.
