Man In Custody After Threats At Exel Warehouse

A man has been taken into custody after a reported threat led to the evacuation of 50 employees at an Exel warehouse in Rutherford County. 

The incident was reported shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday at the facility on New Sanford Road in La Vergne.

Officials with La Vergne Police said a man called dispatch and said someone entered the building with a bomb, along with four others who were armed with handguns.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene and helped evacuate some 50 employees.

After several hours of searching the 500,000 square foot building, the all clear was given.

Investigators said 25-year-old Andreius Moore, an employee, was taken into custody.

He was charged with making a false report and unlawful use of 911. Moore was held on a $25,000 bond.
