Alleged Gunman Fires Into House With Kids Inside

An alleged gunman has been arrested after reportedly firing into a home with six children inside at the time.

The incident happened at a home on Towneship Road in Nashville.

Witnesses told Metro police that the suspect pulled up, got out of his car, pulled a handgun and then fired at least three rounds straight into the side of the house.

At least six juveniles were asleep inside at the time.

None of them were hit, although one round did go straight through the home and exited the other side.

Based on witness descriptions, Metro police were able to track down the car and arrest the suspect.

He was charged with aggravated assault. His name was not available. 

A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
