Police caught up with a suspected shoplifter and also made an arrest on multiple drug charges.
The incident happened when staff at Academy Sports and Outdoors in the 500 block of Pleasant Grove Road notified police of a shoplifting suspect running away from the store with stolen clothes Sunday afternoon.
Officers with the Mt. Juliet Police Department quickly spotted the suspect in a car.
Michael Young, age 30, has been charged with shoplifting, and the stolen clothes were returned to the store.
In the car, authorities also found heroin, digital scales, a gun, and more.
Officials confirmed 23-year-old Alisha Migliaccio, a passenger in the car, was facing a number of drug charges after the discovery.
