Food critic and celebrity chef Alton Brown has officially weighed in on one of Nashville’s biggest debates: hot chicken.
Hot chicken has become a Nashville staple and something for which the city is known.
Brown was recently in town for his Eat Your Science tour at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
After a blind taste test, Brown said the dish lives up to its name. He posted the clip on his Facebook page.
“Wow. Wow. Wow, that's hot,” he said. “Holy smokes that’s hot chicken.”
While there are tons of places around town to get great hot chicken, out of the two he tried he rated Hattie B's his favorite.
