An investigation is underway after an alleged arsonist set fire to a family’s home in the Percy Priest Lake area.
The incident happened late Thursday night at a home on Lake Terrace Drive.
Officers with Metro police were called to the scene after someone at the home heard a loud noise, ran outside and found a Molotov cocktail burning in the house.
At least three people were inside at the time.
One person was able to put out the flames with a garden hose and called 911. No one was hurt.
Police said an accelerant was used in the blaze. Officials with the Nashville Fire Department have since taken over the investigation.
This was not the first fire-related incident at the home. Earlier this year, police said an ex-boyfriend of the family's daughter set fire to the house.
His name was not known.
According to investigators, no arrests have been made in the case.
