Burglars attempted to break into a store to steal the cash register, but they left empty handed.
The incident happened at the La Mexicana Market in the 900 block of Murfreesboro Pike just before 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
Reports stated the burglars broke into the store by either cutting or smashing a hole in the wall.
Authorities said they attempted to take the cash register, but couldn’t get it outside. It was believed they left without getting anything.
The investigation remained ongoing.
