Charges against Cory Batey alleging that he failed to register as a sex offender have been dismissed.
A hearing was held Tuesday morning, however Batey waived his right to appear.

Earlier this month, an affidavit accused Batey of failing to register in the 48-hour period following his conviction on aggravated rape and several lesser charges.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for May on Batey’s convictions for aggravated rape, sexual battery and criminal attempt to commit aggravated rape.
