San Francisco has been added as a non-stop destination from Nashville International Airport.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning by BNA and United Airlines officials, along with Nashville Mayor Megan Barry and the help of a few Christmas carolers.
The flight will provide travelers with a non-stop flight to one of the West Coast’s top travel destinations.
Officials said they hope the direct link would continue to fuel Nashville’s ever-growing economy.
“We are going to have a flight to San Francisco and that is pretty cool,” said Mayor Barry.
United Airlines will begin daily nonstop service starting May 5 with tickets available for purchase beginning Tuesday.
