Custom packaging manufacturer Bradford Co. has been set to invest $5.1 million in the expansion of operations in Gallatin.
State economic and community development officials said the investment will create 25 jobs in Sumner County.
Bradford has been a fifth generation, family and employee-owned business that has been in Gallatin since 1991. The company has specialized in the manufacture of reusable and recyclable containers primarily for the automotive industry.
“Our existing businesses are so important to us," said Gallatin Mayor Page Brown. "That’s where most growth and business happens. This is a company that’s been here 25 years and they’re adding jobs, and they’re making an investment. They’re making an investment in our community, and they’re a company that could’ve chosen a lot of other locations, so we’re very grateful they chose our community.”
Officials said the company's products have been free from chemicals and pollutants, providing a safe work environment for employees.
The new investment will be used to expand capacity and consolidate all of the Gallatin facilities into one.
