Brentwood Police Investigate Burglaries, Thefts

Posted

Police in Brentwood have asked residents to lock the doors of their homes and cars after a series of burglaries and thefts were reported in the area.

Brentwood police officials said the incidents have occurred over the past several days in the River Oaks subdivision.

A burglary was reported at a home on Ramsgate Court on August 14. The suspect got inside the residence by breaking a back glass door and got away with several items.

A suspect was seen on surveillance video outside the home. Police said she was possibly driving a dark colored SUV.

The next night into Tuesday morning, 12 vehicle thefts were also reported on Paddock Place, River Oaks Road and Bridlewood Lane. All of the vehicles were unlocked.

Police said an attempted theft of an outdoor TV was also reported from the patio of a River Oaks Road home.

At this time, there’s no reason to believe they’re all related, investigators said. Police have urged residents to lock their doors and “park smart.”
