A precautionary lockdown at Brown’s Chapel Elementary School in Murfreesboro has been lifted.
The lockdown was in place while officials searched for suspects in the area.
Officials with Rutherford County Schools said police were searching for suspects who left the scene of a crash.
The school is located on Baker Road, however it’s unclear where the collision occurred.
School officials said students were safe. They added that placing schools on lockdown is standard precaution when police activity is in the area.
No additional information was known.
