Caller's Identity Sought In Walmart Bomb Threat

Police in Mt. Juliet said they’re searching for a caller who phoned in a bomb threat at a local Walmart.

The incident happened around 12:20 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart on Pleasant Grove Road.

Authorities said they were notified about the call by management at the store.

Police and fire crews responded to the scene immediately and secured the area.

The store was safely evacuated while crews investigated, and the parking lot was secured.

Through the investigation, officials learned the caller had also demanded cash.

Explosive detection canines from Lebanon Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit assisted at the scene to ensure it was safe.

The property was deemed safe around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.

Officials said they’re hoping to discover the identity of the caller.
