An East Nashville landmark opened its doors for the final time. Charlie Bob's has served food and drinks at its Dickerson Pike location for 65 years, but it'll soon be torn down to make way for new apartments.

"I had mixed emotions about it because I’m going to miss the community," said Nashville resident Leslie Arms. "But also I’m excited for Dickerson Pike to have some new development in this area."

Many regular customers made it a point to visit the eatery on it's final day of business Sunday.

"These types of places are going away, which is sad," said customer Mark Musser. "Nashville is changing which is a good thing but it’s also sad to see places like this go."

Charlie Bob's hosted free, live music all day Sunday.
