Residents in Cheatham County have begun paying tribute to legendary Tennessee Women’s Basketball Coach Pat Summitt.
News of Summitt’s death came early Tuesday morning when her son, Tyler Summitt, confirmed her passing in a statement.
Countless tributes began pouring in from sports icons to government officials, including President Barack Obama.

Closer to home, the welcome sign outside of Henrietta has been adorned with flowers in her honor.
Her family moved to Henrietta from Clarksville when she was in high school because Clarksville did not have a girls’ basketball team.
White flowers were placed with an orange ribbon – a symbolic tribute to her beloved Lady Vols.
