A house caught on fire during the night in Williamson County in the College Grove area.
The fire happened around 3 a.m. Saturday. The house was a home that was for sale, and there was no one living there at the time.
“Just glad there wasn't anybody in it, family renting it in December had three little kids. Glad nobody got hurt or anything,” said Jimmy Cromer, the owner of the house. “We were doing some renovations on it, working on it. Got a call about 3:20 this morning and got down here and it was fully engulfed.”
Cromer said it was the home he grew up in.
He added the fumes from varnish could have possibly started the fire.
