The County Music Hall of Fame and Museum celebrated its 50th anniversary with special events for visitors.

There were musical performances and activities throughout the building.

The first 5,000 guests through the door received a commemorative Hatch Show Print poster.

Ticket prices were also rolled back to just $1.50, the same amount it was on opening day in 1967.

Officials said there have been a lot of changes over the years, from moving from Music Row to downtown, to expanding the facility.

“This has really developed into a museum that the community likes to come to and understands what we are trying to do,” said Kyle Young, CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Looking ahead to the next 50 years, officials said they want to focus on broadening their educational outreach and working on the archives.
