A car crashed into another vehicle along Murfreesboro Road in South Nashville, and the driver who sent the other vehicle flipping into the median fled from the scene.
The crash happened near El Chico Cafe around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
South Nashville residents Kristen Hollis and Michael Beasley were in the car that flipped. Their 2-year-old bloodhound was in the backseat, but was ejected during the crash.
Now, Hollis and Beasley have been asking for help locating her.
"It’s heartbreaking. My heart crumbles. There’s an empty spot in my stomach," Hollis said. "I want my baby back."
Their pet's name is Daisy Duke. She's a brown and tan colored bloodhound, who her owners described as skittish.
"All we’ve been doing this past weekend is searching for this dog," Hollis said. "We’ve covered grounds all the way from Taco Bell to Briley Parkway. Searched every neighborhood, every apartment complex, all the woods around here."
So far, the couple has not had any luck.
The have been offering a reward for Daisy's safe return.
