A crash involving a semi with a flipped trailer slowed traffic on Interstate 24.

The wreck happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday in the westbound lanes at Bell Road in Antioch.

Reports stated multiple vehicles were involved, including a semi with two trailers. Authorities said the second trailer flipped during the crash. Several vehicles then wrecked behind it, including three cars and a tow truck.

Several minor injuries were reported. One victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was reportedly okay.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said westbound traffic was reduced to one lane. Eastbound drivers were not affected.

Crews estimated the roadway would be clear by 6 a.m.
